DCU Voices

2021 EDITION 39 It is always a privilege to have national and international students transition through our Faculty of Engineering and Computing. I hope that they have enjoyed their time with us and that they leave with fond memories of DCU and some life-long friends. Our Faculty has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months. DCU Futures will transform the learning of undergraduate students. Our Faculty is now engaged in areas related to Sustainable Energy, Global Challenges, Disruptive Technologies, Data Analytics and AI. Our research activities have seen the approval of Adapt 2. Insights’ new CEO is our own Prof Noel O’Connor. I-Form linked with Biodesign Europe to secure €3.4 million in the latest round of funding from the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund. So as our students/alumni set sail, keep your head held high, surround yourself with people you love and look out for people who inspire you. Someday you will be the person who is inspiring the next generation. Life happens while we are making plans, so don’t forget to enjoy the journey. Please keep in touch with one another (and DCU) and if we can be of any assistance in the future, let us know.
