76 132. Development of Virtual Laboratory for 3rd Year Mechanics of MachinesModule This project explores the development of an integrated SolidWorks-based dynamic simulation, accompanied by Loop-hosted interactive materials, to enable students to performa virtual version of the third-year Mechanics of Machines Clutch Plate experiment remotely. The simulation software visualises system responses, allowing students to explore how controlled inputs influence systemdynamics. The accompanyingmaterials guide students through the experiment, replicating the hands-on experience of the practical lab session. Simulation data is provided for analysis and reporting, encouraging critical thinking and the development of technical skills. This solution enhances accessibility while maintaining the rigor of traditional practicals, offering a seamless blend of simulation and education. Medical ImagingDataset ExplorerWeb Application TheMedical Imaging Dataset Explorer Web Application is designed for healthcare professionals, researchers, and educators to efficiently query, view, and analyse medical imaging data, focusing on DICOM formats. It features an intuitive text-to-image search using natural language processing (NLP), enabling users to ask queries and receive relevant image results. Powered by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Ollama, and LLAVA-med, the platformdelivers contextually-aware responses. A GPT-4 chatbot allows follow-up interactions, while integration with OHIF Viewer and Orthanc DICOM server enables seamless image viewing within the platform, enhancing dataset analysis and insights. This project aims to create a digital twin of the gyroscope experiment used in the ‘Mechanics of Machines II’ module. By developing an AR application for Microsoft HoloLens 2, students will be able to visualise and interact with the gyroscope experiment in real-time. The application allows users to adjust key parameters, observe changes, and analyse results in a way that deepens their understanding of gyroscopic motion and precession. This project seeks to bridge the gap between remote learning and hands-on experimentation, making it more accessible and engaging for students.
