43 33. College Sports App This project is a college sports app designed to shine a spotlight on the vibrant and often underrepresented world of college sports. We aim to achieve this by increasing discoverability and accessibility, while also fostering a sense of community and engagement. Through collaboration with the independent student paper at DCU, The College View, our goal is for the app to become a central hub for sports-related content concerning DCU. Our mission is to eliminate the barriers that currently exist in accessing information about college sports, giving fans the tools they need to connect with and follow college sports like never before. With features such as live updates, communication channels, player databases, andmany more, the app has the potential to put the college sports scene on the map! Focusing on Dublin City University (DCU), it utilises the RiseDB dataset and follows two phases: Simple Phase: This phase uses RiseDB for feature extraction with ORB, K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN), and Random Forests. The A* algorithm is applied for pathfinding on a 2Dmap. Advanced Phase: This phase collects DCU-specific data to enhance accuracy using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), ensuring accessible navigation across an inclusive campus. This scalable, cost-effective approach bypasses infrastructure-dependent methods, advancing indoor navigation technology. As a file-sharing application, Bit4Bit will act as a shared folder between 2 or more peers. A peer will be able to put a file into the shared folder while another peer will have the option to download it onto their own device whenever they wish. Along with this, users will also be able to chat with each other via text or video call. All of this will be done through a desktop application.
