2 Message from the Dean Welcome to the Final Year Project booklet by the class of 2025 at Dublin City University. I am thrilled to present this exceptional publication, which showcases the outstanding achievements of our talented students from the Faculty of Engineering and Computing. The Final Year Project booklet allows the creativity and innovation of our students to shine through, highlighting the countless hours of dedication and passion poured into their projects. This booklet is a vibrant celebration of DCU’s commitment to fostering significant learning experiences. It also underscores the potential economic, industrial, and societal impacts that the knowledge and innovation underpinning these projects will have in the longer term. This year’s Final Year Projects Expo features approximately 300 projects, shared with future employers, industry partners, andmembers of our wider community. The wide-ranging topics on display reflect the significant effort and commitment of all those involved - from students and academic staff to our technical and professional support teams, and the many enterprise partners who contribute through placements and real-world collaboration. This year’s showcase is particularly special, as it marks the first time the event is being hosted in the new Polaris building on DCU’s Glasnevin Campus. Officially opened earlier this year by An Taoiseach, Polaris represents amajor investment in the future of STEMat DCU. Purpose- built to encourage innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, this cutting-edge facility offers an inspiring setting for our final-year Engineering and Computing students to present their work. We are delighted to celebrate their achievements in a space that so strongly reflects the ambition and forward-thinking ethos of our university. At DCU, our goal is to cultivate versatile, skilled, pioneering, and creative graduates. The students showcased in this booklet are evidence of this, and we believe their academic experience will equip them to take on significant leadership roles in the Computing and Engineering sectors,
